Award winning East Lothian bus company chooses Mellor
Prentice Coaches of Haddington has taken delivery of a new Mellor Strata low floor bus as the latest addition to its fleet. This follows on the back of an order for a vehicle of the same specification that was delivered in 2016 and was one of the first Strata models to enter service.
Prentice Coaches’ new Strata includes all the standard features the vehicle has become well known for, such as a passenger capacity of up to 22, low-entry floor and Sentinel 7 CCTV complete with reverse camera.
Ross Prentice, Managing Director at Prentice Coaches, said:
“Returning to Mellor for another Strata was an easy decision to make. They involve customers throughout the process and nothing is too much trouble. I have always found them very easy to deal with and the vehicles are fantastic – our drivers and passengers have nothing but good things to say and that’s the important part.”
Based just 15 minutes outside of Edinburgh city centre, Prentice Coaches is ideally located to provide a wide range of trips for a variety of customers including schools and community groups through to corporate clients and public transport.
Since the business was first established in 1991, the company has scooped several accolades over the years, including Top Independent Operator at the 2016 UK Bus Awards and a silver for the same category at the 2017 ceremony. Recognition at these prestigious awards signifies that Prentice Coaches is a business committed to providing outstanding customer service.
