Villager Bus has once again turned to Mellor for a new Orion bus to add to its existing fleet.

The robust Orion design is ideal for community transport where due to the high volume of passengers, wear and tear is inevitable. The passenger area is versatile and can be configured to meet the needs of the various clientele.

Keith Gowing, Chairman of Villager Bus, said:

“We have been operating Orions for the past five years and took delivery of our latest one in April. This is our second order in a year, representing a significant investment to us and is testament to our positive experience with this model.”

The Villager Bus service carries up to 400 passengers from 60 villages in the North Cotswolds every week.

Villager Bus’ Orion has a rapid sliding entry door, luggage pen, Eberspächer air climate system and is configured to carry 16 passengers with all-age provision seatbelts throughout.

The Villager Bus service has been running since 1982 providing transport to small, often isolated villages which have no other public transport facilities. It operates in the North Cotswold areas of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
