Mellor is pleased to announce that Lewis-Y-Llan, an operator providing transport services for local authorities and schools, has taken delivery of a Mellor Strata Plus Low Floor vehicle. Supplied by Mellor Sales Manager Ben Green, the vehicle joins a fleet of 17 vehicles and will support the company’s ongoing operations delivering reliable transport for passengers across its network.

The 22-seat Strata Plus Low Floor was selected as a vehicle that aligns perfectly with the operator’s day-to-day routes. Its more compact design provides the ideal balance of passenger capacity and operational efficiency, enabling Lewis-Y-Llan to maintain the seating needed for school and local authority transport. The vehicle’s agile and manoeuvrable design also makes it well suited to navigating tighter routes and more restricted areas, helping the operator deliver a smooth and efficient service across its network.

The low floor layout was another important factor in the decision. The design provides easy, step-free access for passengers, helping to make boarding and alighting quicker and safer while improving accessibility for those with varying mobility needs. For services that regularly transport school children and community passengers, this ease of access helps create a smoother and more comfortable journey for everyone on board.

Although this is Lewis-Y-Llan’s first vehicle purchase from Mellor, the operator was already familiar with the brand through positive feedback from other operators within the sector. Mellor’s reputation for dependable vehicles and strong after-sales support played an important role in the decision to move forward with the order.
