Havering Community Transport Ltd. offer accessible group transport in their London borough; providing a much needed travel solution to people who are elderly or disabled when looking to travel in a group situation. It services are available throughout the year irrespective of time or day, enabling access to a multitude of destinations both near and far. Its primary aim is to provide service delivery within the community sector, whether it is on an ad hoc, a regular or contractual basis.

These two new low floor accessible vehicles are exclusively available to recognised “not for profit” community organisations that provide care, support and activities to elderly and/or disabled people. They will assist greatly in underpinning service delivery for many years to come, going some way to reduce isolation providing the means to achieve a more included lifestyle.

Their pair of newly acquired DFT funded Orions are based on a Fiat Ducato Maxi and will play a vital role in the community and the specification includes a rapid side sliding electric door, front Ramp with centre handle, microswitch and buzzer, four position lift up roof hatch, powered extractor fan, windows with sliding units, driver’s partition handpole, Cant rail tracking, reversing camera system with dash mounted monitor, reversing warning alarm with night time cancel switch, Unwin spring foot fitting, seatbelts with all age provision, front and rear parking sensors and vehicle alarm system.
