The Meadows Sports College in the Midlands is one of Sandwell’s four special schools and is the only secondary 11-19 school that meets the needs of students with learning difficulties, associated communication, language difficulties and challenging behaviours. The college chose a Mellor conversion to help the staff assist in providing opportunities for education device and support for students both within and out of school, their families and the local community.
The Fiat Ducato 3.0 diesel, twin rear axle provides seating for 16 passengers or up to 5 wheelchairs. For ease of access the floor is fitted on a super low and completely flat AL-KO chassis. Other features of the vehicle include large rear bonded glass doors which maintain full visibility of the rear, reverse bleeper, Eberspacher heater and Ricon Tail-lift fitted in-side at the rear of the saloon.
