Hartlepool Borough Council have recently taken delivery of 8 Mercedes Benz 513CDi Sprinter, long wheelbase coach conversions with automatic transmission to be utilised for Education and Social Services in their daily support to the Day Centres, Charities and Special Needs schools across the region.

Hartlepool Council requested the specification should feature an extra wide WYPTE type flush fitting fold out step and power single leaf glider door, heavy duty slip resistant vinyl flooring, Rescroft detachable seats for sixteen passengers fitted to heavy duty low profile tracking using Unwin Springfoot mechanisms. Additional tracking was fitted to provide locations for up to six wheelchairs when the detachable seats are removed. For added comfort an Eberspacher D5L independent heater was supplied along with a Ratcliff wheelchair lift at the rear.
