Rt Hon David Cameron, in his capacity of MP for Witney, officially unveiled The Villager Community Bus’s new Mellor Orion. The Orion was provided by a grant from the Department for Transport Community Bus Fund and will enable more of the community to access routes through some of the smaller North Cotswolds villages and towns where other means of transport are either difficult or non-existent.

This versatile Orion is economical to run and provides best in class accessibility with an ultra flat low floor and wide-aperture side entrance with fold out ramp.

The Prime Minister thanked The Villager Community Bus’s chairman, Keith Gowing and the volunteers without whom this service would not continue. Also in attendance were bus drivers, representatives from The Villager Community Bus’s passengers, West Oxfordshire District Council and Mellor Coachcraft’s Business Development Manager Steve Reeves and Area Sales Manager Stephen Haywood.
